Fine Art Photography by Gary Mansperger
I have several fine art photographic prints in this exhibit. Each of these prints are printed onto Aluminum.
Aluminum prints represent a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, images take on an almost magical luminescence. You’ve never seen a more brilliant and impressive print. Colors are vibrant and the luminescence is breathtaking. Detail and resolution are unsurpassed.
These prints endure the test of time! While photo papers have fantastic image stability, the image stability of these prints is 2 to 4 times the image stability of traditional silver based photo papers.
If a print is going to last over 100 years it also must be durable to take the bumps it may endure so that your great (great – great?) grand kids will enjoy them as much as you do now. This print surface is tough and will still be vibrant and not have the yellow cast of your parent’s photographs.
The photographic technique used to create these images includes: a single image from Camera, a composite of 100’s of images blended together (i.e. star trails) (click on night photography tab on top of this page to learn how it is done), and HDR or High Dynamic Range images created by blending several images captured at different exposures to create an image not possible with a single exposure (i.e PCRC-48960).
